These days we're ALL gardeners, even if we're only pretending to be by flicking through glossy magazines. But this cottage is the former residence of the guy who really knew his onions on Belladrum, the head gardener from the good old days when he and 20 underlings tilled the soil. Situated ‘over the shop', it straddles the wall of the former walled garden which supplied Belladrum House with everything from a daily carnation for the laird's buttonhole to a peach to gladden his lady's cheeks.

Another piece of B-listed architectural beauty, Gardener's offers a generous area of modishly designed space for just the two of you. So if the weather's bad or after a day out and about, you can just veg out in the conservatory or steam room.
